"TigerGen II" will be on display from 8 am to 5 pm on Saturday, December 3, 2011.

The Mizzou Hydrogen Car Team is a group of mostly engineering students (but open to any major) from the University of Missouri who get together to design and build a full sized hydrogen fuel cell powered race car on a two year cycle. We then race the car in the Shell Eco-Marathon held every year in the spring in Houston, TX.  In the spring of 2011, we raced our second-generation car, TigerGen II.  After completing six successful runs, we were awarded first place in the Urban Concept Hydrogen Fuel Cell Category for achieving 13.8 Mi//kWh which equates to 476 mpg.  We were also awarded Best Team Spirit out of the 63 teams present.

The team has designed and is currently building TigerGen III, our third generation Hydrogen vehicle, which we will race this coming spring in the Shell Eco-Marathon which will be held from March 29 - April 1, 2012 in Houston, TX.  Our third generation vehicle, TigerGen III, has had some major upgrades from TigerGen II.  The car has been designed to look more like a sports car, and has a more spacious design so even our tallest members of the team can fit in to take a spin around the block.  The team is busy building the car and is looking forward to the race with great anticipation.  For more information about the team, check out our website at www.mizzouhydrogen.org or our facebook page at www.facebook.com/mizzouhydrogen.
